Clinical Background: 47-year-old patient who had a caesarean section for twins and a normal vaginal delivery presented with heavy periods requiring iron infusions. Pelvic ultrasound showed evidence of adenomyosis.
Procedure: Laparoscopic subtotal hysterectomy (cervix was preserved), removal of both tubes (ovaries were preserved) and morcellating of the uterus in an Espinar bag.
Histopathology: Confirmed adenomyosis (benign).
Recovery: Patient recovered well.
